Ziyad Al-Samman

Ziyad Al-Samman

Touches of Lee Hazlewood and both Elvises, Presley and Costello, on this suave swooner from the Jordan-born, London-based swinger
— The Times

Ziyad Al-Samman is your new favourite habibi music maker. Brought up in Amman, Jordan and now living deep in London’s belly he’s been quietly brewing his psychedelic-disco-pop and crafting his tales of friendships, love and his place in the world. Crooning vocals sit over poppy synth and swooning guitars to create an upbeat psychedelic-disco-pop sound with a middle Eastern flavour and a dreamy sound that nods towards the early rock and roll of Roy Orbison and Edwin Collins. Ziyad’s discography thus far provides a little cinema and romance for our ears.
